The speed limit goes into effect the second you are even with the sign. No different from real life. Also, it changes from 80 to 40 to 80 very fast for the truck to react properly. Sometimes braking the truck in this situation locks up the steering.

Helmax Nov 2, 2015 @ 7:45pm. You can deactivate the damage, but you need to do it by changing it in the def.scs. It is located in the game folder, but you can not open that folder without a specific program. It is easier to find a "no damage" mod which is made in several mods sites. Look in ets2.lt, and you will find a no damage mod there.
